When the mortar joints between bricks & other masonry become damaged due to harsh weather conditions- it can cause cold air and moisture to creep into your home. In order to handle the problem, we grind out the bad mortar and dispose of the rubble. We then mix new mortar and tint it as close as possible to the colour on your home. This creates a seamless look from old to new.
Some clients want every joint ground out and re-pointed. This gives the appearance of a brand new building. This is not necessary unless there have been many previous repairs done with different colours or types of mortar/material.
